Attendance and absence
Information on how to register working hours and absence. This is only for agencies that use the self-service portal or the DFØ app.
Some agencies use other systems for attendance and absence, like Wintid, GAT or Tidbank. If you do not use our solutions, please contact HR at your agency.
Before you begin, log in with DFØ ID or download the DFØ app to your smartphone.
If you do not use DFØ ID, you can find a link to the self-service portal on your agency’s intranet.

Holidays and compensatory time off when you are on sick leave
You are responsible for checking and making changes if you have planned vacation days or compensatory time off during your sick leave. Contact HR in your agency if you have questions regarding this.
Working hours when you are partially on sick leave
You must make an agreement with you manager on which hours you work.
The time system distributes your leave evenly each day and does not consider how you actually work.
You can see your compensatory time balance and remaining vacation days in the self-service portal on your computer or the DFØ app on your smartphone.
Working hours and compensatory time will be visible on your time sheet the day after registration.
Compensatory time balance, overtime, and travel time
You will find these under time balance. These time balances are updated every night and are shown in hours and minutes. You can find details for compensatory time, overtime, and travel time by clicking the icon in the top right corner.
The difference between compensatory time balance and compensatory time off
Compensatory time balance shows the compensatory time you have accumulated.
You can take time off using your compensatory time balance (full and half days), totalling 24 full days per year. Compensatory time off shows how many days you have left.
Time sheets
Time sheets show an overview of the time you have registered per month.
Remaining vacation days
You can see your remaining vacation days under time balance. Click on vacation for more information.
Checking your time balance
You can register time and make changes to your time registrations up until the end of the following month.
If you find mistakes or missing time registrations after the period has been locked for registrations, please contact your manager or HR/payroll in your agency. The same procedure applies if you are unable to delete and edit a request for absence.
Remember that you need to register your travel time under register working hours. It is not sufficient to complete a travel expense claim.
Travel time abroad will usually be compensated with 0.5 hours for every 1 hour registered, but some agencies may have other agreements. The system will automatically compensate you with the correct number of hours, depending on your registrations.
If you have questions regarding attendance and absence, please contact your employer.
